Agreement Promises to Electronically Network 90% of California State Attorneys

South Lake Tahoe, CA and Tucson, AZ [October 5, 2005] –Premiere eFile provider Lawdex Corporation announced it has signed a strategic partnership with California Association of Photcopiers and Process Servers (CAPPS), the largest state process server organization in the country. According to participants in the agreement, the 350 member CAPPS organization files and serves papers for 90% of California’s state attorneys.

Lawdex and CAPPS will present their eFiling and document routing model before the CAPPS’ 37th Conference in South Lake Tahoe, California, on Saturday, October 8th.

Attorneys and court administrators have expressed a critical need to improve the speed at which paper flows through the California legal system, the largest in the nation with more than 2,000 judicial officers, 18,000 court employees, nearly nine million cases filed annually, and serving over 34 million people.

Lawdex is responding to this demand by delivering a solution through the CAPPS membership to automate what had been a mostly manual process for sending, receiving and filing court documents.

Process servers and attorneys using the Lawdex solution can initiate a request to route a document and track its movement throughout the routing process. The result is a more visible and efficient process that eliminates paper filing and reduces manual touch-points.

"By serving the process server community we’re serving a vital link between attorneys their clients and the courts," said Scott Stanley, president and CEO at Lawdex. "This agreement promises to electronically network California attorneys along a roadmap already conceived by California engineers to link all court-records electronically.”

Lawdex announced its strategic alliance with software pioneer Nsite Corp in December of 2004 as part of its ongoing effort to deliver eFiling to the legal community. Nsite online software serves as the engine powering the Lawdex document-routing solution.
